Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center is stepping forward at a critical moment for York County. With the closure of York County Shelter, and ongoing instability at the region’s remaining family shelter, the safety net for parents and children is at risk.

To prevent the loss of these essential beds, Seeds of Hope will assume full operation of the York County Family Shelter, which will now be known as the Seeds of Hope Family Center. This transition ensures families in crisis continue to have access to safety, stability and compassionate support close to home.

We are honored to continue the work that has been done at this site and committed to strengthening it for the future.

Our commitment to this work is not abstract, it is personal. Both a current Board member and a staff member at Seeds of Hope once lived in this very family shelter.

Their lived experience grounds our approach in dignity, empathy and a deep understanding of what families need to move from crisis to stability.
