Monday Morning Huddle!
Every Monday morning, we collaborate with the City of Biddeford and other local agencies to find permanent solutions for housing our community's chronically unhoused population. Through our combined efforts, we are proud to report that we successfully house an average of one person per week!
Together, we are making a significant impact and working towards a future where everyone has a place to call home.
Homeless Task Force
Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center has been a pivotal force in addressing homelessness in our community. For years, we facilitated The Homeless Task Force, a collaborative effort involving local agencies dedicated to finding solutions to end homelessness. While we no longer serve as the facilitator, we remain an active and committed participant in this vital initiative.
Our instrumental role in starting The Homeless Task Force underscores our dedication to fostering collaboration and creating impactful change. Through this partnership, we continue to work alongside other organizations to develop and implement strategies that support those experiencing homelessness and strive towards a future where everyone has a safe and stable place to call home.
Hub 1 – York County
Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center is proud to be a part of the Hub 1 Homeless Initiative. The Homeless Response Hubs in Maine are part of the state's efforts to restructure homelessness response. Hub 1 is one of these hubs and is part of the National Built for Zero collaborative, which aims to collect real-time, by-name data of those experiencing homelessness.
Our involvement in the Hub 1 Homeless Initiative allows us to contribute to a coordinated and comprehensive approach to addressing homelessness. By leveraging real-time data and innovative solutions, the initiative aims to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. Through this partnership, we are committed to creating a future where everyone has access to safe and stable housing.
